Saw ‘em last night with Black Kids.  I am an avid listener of Trail of Dead… when I saw them over a month ago, but I didn’t recognize half the stuff they played.  I’ve maybe listened to Mates three times in the past four years and I recognized every, single song.  And contrary to what I’d heard about them, their show was not boring at all.  I loved it, in fact.  And those two are cute as a button.  They barely take their eyes off each other while they play.  Go see them.  Hell, even break out their old records.
